About the Artist:
Felix Bacolor (b 1967) studied painting at the University of the Philippines and attended Film and Cinematography Workshop at the MOWELFUND Film Institute in Quezon City. From the 1990s to the early 2000s, Bacolor worked as a freelance graphic and production designer and advertising director. In 2005 he became a full-time artist and has since been participating in exhibitions in Asia including the Jakarta Biennale, Indonesia (2011), Southeast Asia Forum in Singapore (2016), Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Mori Museum, Japan (2017) and at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) in Manila, Philippines (2012) among others.
Founded in 1984 by a quiet archivist with a passion for collecting Philippine art and memorabilia, ARCHIVO 1984 is an invitation into a private world where art, literature, film memorabilia, OPM and turn of the century records are preserved in seamless coexistence for those with an obsessive predilection for collectibles and beautiful objects.
