About the Artist:
A printmaker who specializes in woodcut, she has explored the technique towards creating prints in sculptural and installation format. She has mounted over 20 solo exhibitions and has spent artist residencies in Paris, New York, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia. Her works won Grand Prize in the AAP Open Art Competition (1986) and the Philippine Art Awards (2006) as well as 3rd Prize in the recent ASEAN Graphic Arts Competition 2020. She is a Board Member of AP and a faculty at the UP College of Fine Arts.

The Association of Pinoyprintmakers (AP), formerly known as the Philippine Association of Printmakers, is an organization devoted to the practice of printmaking in the country. It was founded by Manuel Rodriguez, Sr. in 1968 and continues to support Filipino printmakers to date. The association maintains its drive to promote printmaking as a major visual arts medium working with local and international organizations through projects such as exhibitions, demonstrations, and workshops to engage the public with this art form.
